The English Language Course

This is an ESL (English as a Second Language) or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) course for adults and young adults, who are interested in learning and developing their language skills for everyday situations and purposes related to work, social life, academic activities, and leisure. Students have the opportunity to personalize the language they learn, make use of their own life experiences and world knowledge, and express their ideas and opinions with an English Only approach.

This ESL course takes students from basic to advanced level, covering the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as pronunciation and vocabulary. Special emphasis is placed on listening and speaking.

The regular course has a total of 9 levels:
* Basic 1, 2 and 3
* Intermediate 1, 2 and 3
* Advanced 1, 2 and 3

Each level consists of 70 to 140 hours of class. The number of students may vary from 1 (individual class) to 6, depending on the student's interest. The course material consists of Student's Book, Workbook, and CD. Classes are taught at companies, universities, student's home, teacher's classroom or online.

* English for Presentations - Giving a presentation in a second language is not an easy task. This customized course will help you feel more assertive, more confident, more prepared. For more information click here.

* English for Travelers is a course designed for people who already know some English and want to travel, vacation, do business, study, or live in the United States. It will help you to prepare for real-life situations, such as arriving at the airport, using public transportation, staying at a hotel, getting something to eat, renting a car, etc.

* English for Aviation is a course for pilots and aviation aficionados. It’s designed for people who already know some English but want to enhance their vocabulary and communication skills applied to the field of aviation. What makes this course especially fun is the opportunity students have to use multimedia and a flight simulator.

* English for TOEFL is a test preparation course that helps you build the skills you need to succeed on the test. Test of English as a Foreign Language is an examination used to evaluate a non-native English speaker’s proficiency in the English language. The course also familiarizes you with the TOEFL format and suggests strategies to improve your TOEFL scores. Classes of 1 or 2 students.

* English for Job Interviews is a single-student course designed to sharpen your communication skills and give you a better idea of what to expect and how to behave during a job interview. In this course you will have the unique opportunity to experience interview simulations. This will build your confidence and familiarize you with all aspects of a job interview in English.

* English for Business is a stimulating language course. It deals with international issues of interest to all companies and business people, providing students with an opportunity to develop fluency, among other skills. Step by step the course takes learners through the whole world of business from product development to pricing strategy, from brand management to credit control, from advertising expenditure to management training.

* Walk & Talk is a different style of Listening and Conversation practice. Perfect for those who are interested in exercising the body and the language. In the park, at the country club, on the streets, at the shopping mall, etc. Walk & Talk simultaneously keeps your English and your legs in good shape.

* English for Maintenance is a course intended for people who have already achieved a significant degree of satisfaction towards their language skills and wish to maintain these acquired skills, for students who are in between courses, or for those who just don't want to lose contact with the language.

A great opportunity to practice your Speaking skills and have a good time with other students in a casual environment! It might be a bar, a restaurant or anywhere, as long as English is the only language spoken. Cheers!

Take to your home or office genuinely American magazines like Newsweek, Reader’s Digest among others. Great reading pratice at anytime, anywhere.

Speak Up™ CDs and Magazines
The most renowned CD/Magazine for learners of English in Brazil. A whole subscription available for you to take home and indulge yourself in a journey into the world of English. Listen to the Speak Up CDs at home, in your car or at the office.

E-mail
Receive on your computer carefully selected news, English grammar explanations, curiosities, comics, and information in general – written or audio. A newsletter to help you with your English. You may interact with teacher and other students expressing your thoughts and opinions.

International Phone Calls
You will have the unique opportunity to call airports, hotels, restaurants and other places in the US. Have an actual conversation and solve problems as if you were in a real situation. (Individual classes only)
